Prior information IMEE

1.- Before beginning doctoral studies it is important that the student selects the Doctoral Programme that he/she is going to take. In this regard, it is important to consult the existing documentation on the Doctoral Programmes offered by the University of Malaga.

2.- For those students with special educational needs arising from disability, the University of Malaga has a specialized office for them: the Support Service for Students with Disabilities (SAAD). Considering disability as a difference that brings distinction and enrichment to the University, attention to the educational needs of students with disabilities is a recognition of the values of the individual and their right to higher education and training. This office is responsible for providing the appropriate support and advisory services, which will evaluate the need for possible curricular adaptations, itineraries, or alternative studies for doctoral students.

3.- Once a Ph.D. program has been selected (see recommended IMEE profile), it is necessary to enroll in it. To do so, it is essential to comply with the access requirements stipulated on the IMEE website (see IMEE requirements). In case of doubt, it is very important to consult the coordinator of the Doctoral Programme or the International Graduate Centre and Doctoral School, who will be able to clarify any doubts you may have. The specific process of access and enrolment in the Doctoral Programmes of the University of Malaga is described in the Doctoral Regulations of the University of Malaga.

4.- Apart from the Doctoral Programme website, the University of Malaga maintains a web portal (https://www.uma.es/doctorado/) aimed at potential doctoral students, which includes information on:

●     Access to UMA Doctoral Programmes

●     Regulations applicable to doctoral programs

●     Grants

●     Open days

●     Information points

5.- Information on the procedure for access, admission and registration in the doctoral programs (registraron procedure and period) of the University of Malaga is available on the website of the doctoral school, at the following link.
