Supervision agreement

 

Once the student has been assigned a tutor and director, the Official Commitment Agreement for Supervision (Compromiso Documental de Supervisión) will be signed. This document confirms the commitment between all parties and establishes some key issues such as the following: rights and obligations of tutors, directors, and doctoral students; conflict-resolution procedures; issues related to potential intellectual or industrial property rights deriving from the thesis; and the criteria to evaluate the PhD student. The commitment agreement can be requested and managed via an online platform (DAD) dedicated to UMA PhD students: Documento de Actividades del Doctorando (DAD).

The PhD students who propose an external thesis director or co-director must also provide proof that the proposed candidate has fulfilled the requirements needed to direct a thesis. The form can be downloaded at: Justificación Méritos Directores Externos.
